MaryGold McNutt
MaryGold is a gifted healer and talented artist, great
cook and world traveler.
For the past 10 years she has settled into Deadwood, Oregon with
her husband Mark S. McNutt, developing
Aerious and the YewWood Forest Retreat Center.
Since 1975 Mary has kept herself healthy through diet, herbs,
exercise, Shiatsu Massage and an occasional acupuncture treatment.
While living in Spain she began learning yoga from a beginners
book and became a vegetarian, healing her life-long bronchitis.
In 1985 she returned to her family in Australia and begun
studying Shiatsu Massage. She taught yoga in the local ashram
she frequented. She took some Indian cooking classes and developed
her cooking career, catering for various workshops, weddings
and growth work retreats, as well as for the Transcendental
Meditation Center.
In 1990 she enrolled in a two year study program at the Aiki
Institute in Ki-Shiatsu, Macrobiotic
Counseling, and Shin Ki (the inner development of energy).
Since then she has practiced and taught classes in these areas.
Personal growthwork has played an important role in Mary's
life. In 1986 she took an enlightenment Intensive, a three
day retreat of deep self inquiry. She immediately became involved
and for the next three years co-ordinated this work in the
Sydney area.
In 1998 Mary took an interest in Permaculture and began managing
the garden and grounds of YewWood in this manner. In 2001
she took the Permaculture Design Intensive and in 2002 the
Permaculture Teachers Training Program.
In her teenage years Mary went to art school and has always
enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing, ceramics and many more
craft modalities.
Mary loves to share her accumulated knowledge with others
so that the earth and all people may flourish in bountiful
harmony, wellness and joy, for the highest good of all.
