Astrology Blog Feb 10th 2010

All divination is personal, even the planetary, and these over lighting general trends are themes that you yourself explore thru your choices and thru your own lenses and birth map. These general trends are not as comprehensive or accurate as a personal reading regarding your own birth chart and it’s unfolding thru the choices you make in your own life. You are responsible for your own fate, which is changeable yet influenced by many factors. Remember who you are!

Now is a gift given to all. Our choices made now steer the course of the future, and astrology provides both an accurate map of timing and energy and the wind in our sails. Sometimes these winds are subtle, sometimes powerful and overwhelming. We learn to take advantage of these winds of change and timing, and also what kinds of energies and dynamics we are working with. We are not enslaved or limited by our awareness of astrology and other dynamic systems, and can use them as pathways or roadmaps to liberation. We are responsible for our choices, actions, reactions and timings. Use astrology as you would a roadmap or even the power of intention and breath for understanding, empowerment and liberation. Enjoy your life!

Astrological Update for Winter’s End
Here in the Northern Hemisphere of Earth, we gladly celebrate the return of the light (De-Light) and lengthening of days with holidays such as Imbolc, Bridgid’s Mass, Ground Hog Day (all the same-a coming out at mid-winter) and needed celebrations such as Mardi-Gras to blow out the dark recesses of the soul at hibernation’s end and to prepare for the return of balance at Spring Equinox (Astrological New Year) and the related Passover and Easter (Ostara). These later two are celebrated as the first Friday night (Passover) and Sunday (Easter) after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox, an example of Soli-Lunar Seasonal Astrology at work.
But here we are at late winter. Beyond the electromagnetic pulses of the planets affects, we are also strongly affected by the inner workings of winter shining into spring, just like the plants awakening.  Yet we are all still like sleeping trees dreaming of possibility.
That is a theme for this time. The New Moon signifies new beginnings. These come this time through Aquarius, sign of the ascendancy of higher minds, new creative ideas, humynity, the mentally creative picture of potential, friends, networking, visualizing and articulating potentials for the future.  If we don’t invest in visualizing and creating an image of the future, we remain shackled either to our past inhibitions and beliefs and the more dominating visions of others. Liberate yourself through revolution, non-conformity, the dream you are for intending the future. The magical formula being your ability to believe, holding focus enough on these ethereal dreams to make manifest. Fantastic ideas are easy and plentiful, and endlessly talking about possibility, conflict, and innovation can dissipate rather than strengthen the potentials. As the Sun and Moon move into Pisces, to join Jupiter, Venus, and Uranus; and as Neptune conjuncted the Sun and Moon during the 2/13 New Moon, the need to remain mentally focused and determined becomes self-evident. Pisces, (Neptune) tends to dissolve the past and complete the yearly cycle by composting in preparation for Spring’s renewal. Some things in your life need dissolving now, and some need further defining, discussion and mental focus.  But the dreaming is necessary foundation (we tend to think of foundation as bottom up, building from the Earth up, but a balance with “top down” foundation allows for the seeds of heaven, through dreaming and creative visualizations, to rain down.  Again, the magickal formula for success lies in the ability to marry and balance dreaming with doing.  Dreamers dream, doers do. Saturn square Pluto this month (February) demonstrates this sometimes awkward interplay and implies that all balance is momentary and unstable and that transformation is inevitable. So we brown eggs and make omelets. Dream the exquisite taste, fragrance and the ingredients of your Spring omelet now.
Jupiter conjunct Venus in mid February, both in Pisces, can be excellent for social life, renewal, love, and coming clear with a more honest perspective of our creativity. Also stimulates music, the arts and ???? ???? Pluto square Saturn is highlighted once again in February and can be a passage of transformative change and rebalancing at the root of our being.  But also regarding business, finance, long range planning and serious relationships. Take care of the unlimited details, don’t delude yourself, and later this spring you can avoid many of the pitfalls of what you otherwise overlooked, ignored or felt was not important.
Mars is still retrograde in Leo until 3/10. This is a final passage of drama and conflict regarding personal power, ego, creativity and inevitable clashes in humyn intentions and purposes. At the end of a retrograde cycle, the planet and its affairs seem to not move, yet are overwhelming. Mars retrograde corresponds with Mars’ closest approach to Earth, strengthening the challenge and intensity here. It is literally in our face.  The best advice is to purge the past, let go of unnecessary power struggles and ego based concerns, old dramas; and visualize forgiveness and resolution during the Piscean times. This is especially true for Aires, Leo (July), and those with Mars in Leo.
Everyday is an opportunity to begin again and renew. In Joy the world you are co-creating now and forever!
